National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence was established in 1972 to establish guidelines whereby
consumers and those working in the automotive field could have standards to measure the competency of automotive technicians.
After two years of working in the field, a technician is eligible to take tests in the various automotive systems
to show competency in those areas. After passing all eight of the automotive systems, a technician earns the certification
as a Master Technician. An L1 Certification can only be atained after meeting the requirements
and certification as a Master Technician. The L1 Certification shows competency in Advanced automotive performance. These certifications
have to be renewed every 5 years.
We require that all of our technicians be certified by this body, and to either have attained the status of a Master Technician
with an L1 endorsement,or be steadily working toward it.
This gives you the comfort of knowing that the technician working on your car is fully competent and able to perform
a thorough evaluation of your vehicle and make the proper recommendations regarding your vehicle care.
